URGENT NOTICE

Good evening brothers and sisters. I communicate to you with deep sorrow that last night two men broke into the church at Our Mother of Sorrows in Burnet. They moved some of the statues and placed them on the altar. They also found the tabernacle key, took the Body of Christ and poured most of it on the credence table which is next to the altar. Some of the consecrated hosts fell on the floor. This is seriously an act of desecration and for that reason the worship space building is closed until Bishop Vasquez comes to celebrate a ritual of healing and purification, perhaps even of rededication. He has only given me permission to celebrate in church the funeral Mass of Mrs. Francisca Ortiz. We will celebrate the weekend Masses in the Religious Education building. Bishop Vasquez also instructs us to take this sorrowful time as a time of Penance, Prayer and if possible, of Fasting.

We will notify you of the day when he can come to do the ritual of healing and purification.
